TheBenQ SH940 DLP Digital Projectoris designed to project high-definition images with enough brightness to work in settings with high-ambient light.

With full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness at a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, the projector will work in any environment. The SH940 can deliver 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition signals from cable boxes, Blu-ray players and more. And those images will stay in digital form (no analog conversion required) along the path between the device and the projector thanks to its two HDMI 1.3 inputs.

The SH940's Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) makes even 480i signals look almost as good as high definition. The part that forms the picture in this projector is a Texas Instruments DLP DMD panel. Unlike other technologies such as LCD that use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP Technology uses up to six separate colors to create the best image.

The projector is capable of operating in different regions of the world because it has a 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60Hz power supply, and has the ability to handle NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video signals. The SH940 is energy efficient; it uses only 442W to project its super bright image and in standby mode it draws less than a watt.
