TheMX514 DLP ProjectorfromBenQis a powerful, versatile projector that makes beautiful, vivid pictures thanks to its Texas Instruments DLP imaging panel. DLP panels not only make vibrant, crystal clear images, they don't require filters that have to be periodically cleaned and changed.

With 2700 ANSI lumens and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, images will be vivid, detailed and true-to-life even if you can't achieve theater-level darkness in your projection venue. But the MX514 can do lots more than make beautiful pictures. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international auto switching 100 to 240 volt 50/60Hz power supply that draws only 275 watts. That drops to less than one watt in standby mode. The MX514 can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM international video standards too.

The MX514 can handle 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition projection and it's also compatible with a couple dozen Macintosh and PC resolution/sync rates. It can also display closed captioning from programming sources that provide them. It's perfect for viewing in educational settings such as language classes where a transcript of onscreen dialog is desirable.

Eco Blank Mode
The eco blank mode helps blank the screen and conserve lamp power by up to 70% when the projector is not actively in use. By blanking the projection screen, presenters get to redirect audiences' focus back on them while keeping the Earth looking great
SmartEco Mode
The SmartEco mode cleverly adjusts the lamp power to maximize power saving by delivering the best contrast and brightness performance using only as much light as needed
No Source Mode
The automatic switch to eco blank mode after the projector is turned on for over three minutes without a display source, eliminating unnecessary energy waste and prolonging the life of the projector lamp
Closed Captioning
Display subtitles in video content without the need for an external closed-captioning device with the MX514. It's perfect for viewing in educational settings such as language classes where a transcript of onscreen dialog is desirable
Instant Restart
The instant restart feature gives teachers a 90-second window period to turn the projector back on immediately when it has been switched off by accident - no waiting necessary
Quick Cooling
Cooling time itself has been reduced by over 60%, saving your time and minimizing the risk of heat damage to sensitive internal components
Teaching Template
To make your teaching job easier, BenQ has added the teaching template function to the MX514. Now, with four different line pattern designs to choose from - letter formation, musical staff, worksheet and coordinate chart, you can easily write or draw on whiteboards as well as blackboards without the need of drawing lines or charts
